Combining the on-board RF Jamming system, with the benefits of an Armored Vehicle, the Armored Vehicle Jammer deals with threats from Remote Controlled Improvised Explosive Devices, artillery, grenades, car bombs, and other concussive waves from explosives. The Jammer fights radio signals used to detonate a remote controlled IED / radio detonation trigger during an RCIED Attack.
Using several IED Jammers, a convoy of Armored Vehicle Jammers can increase the level of defense when driving through hostile areas.
Armored Convoy Security:
Relying on an armored vehicle for convoy security is not always enough. The Armored Vehicle Jammer reduces the risk of an IED detonation (from a radio command). Also, the armor lowers the chance of the people inside getting hurt by gunfire, or attack by grenades, non-ied firearms, and or shrapnel.
An RCIED can range from a small explosive with shrapnel (such as nails, screws, bolts) that maximize casualties during an attack to larger, higher velocity armor piercing projectiles.
Installation: Armor and Jammer
A professional installation of vehicle armor takes into account an armored vehicle working with an IED Jammer will require additional features. Our expert installers can include a high power alternator or an on-board generator to maintain the operation of jammer as well as the:
- vehicle air conditioning
- vehicle siren
- standard or tactical lighting
- and all other electrical functionalities.
A heavy duty suspension modification can also be installed to handle the additional weight of the vehicle armor.
