Convoy Jammer
The Convoy Jammer works to avert RCIED attacks against groups of vehicles or lone travelers.
The Convoy Jammer can be placed in groups of vehicles or a standalone vehicle to combat remote controlled weapons. The configuration will vary, however the formation of jammers generally consist of modular or monolithic system-builds, or both, that emit radio interference from vehicles within a convoy.
Whether used standalone, or in tandem with other IED Jammers, convoy protection requires at least one active jammer that emits radio interference to attack radio triggers used by IED weapons
Many things can happen while travelling in a convoy. By using multiple IED Jammers, the convoy jamming solution is able to increase the protection range when moving toward or from radio triggers found on IEDs. One of the safest ways to counter remote controlled IED threats (RCIED weapons) convoy movement is to set up a perimeter of IED Jammers on convoy vehicles.
RCIED Threat Mitigation:
RCIED Threats range from roadside bombs, radio fired mines, and hidden remote controlled explosives near or inside sabotaged vehicles within a convoy. Radio controlled weapons detonated by an RF IED (radio frequency improvised explosive device) are responsible for an overwhelming majority of attacks against convoys. Why? Remote or on-command radio triggers are used by terrorists when targeting specific victims. Instead of leaving an IED to randomly detonate, an on-command remote detonator is used for precision attack vectors, especially when targeting VIPs or Government targets.
The Convoy Jammer works to defeat RCIED threats, generating a ‘protective bubble’ to protect groups of vehicles traveling together, either in a convoy, or when moving individually through dangerous areas.
